Analytical components
Examine the composition in detail. Check the contents of proteins, fats, fibres, calcium and phosphorus. The moisture of the pellets reveals their softness or, on the contrary, their crunchiness. If you don’t know exactly what crude ash is, it is an indicator of the content of minerals. This can be ascertained by burning a sample of the feed and, by comparing the weight before and after the burning, determining the percentage of ash.
